Who attends the conferences?
Salon & Spa Owners and Managers, Estheticians, Makeup Artists, Skin Care Specialists, Instructors/Students, Distributors, Massage Therapists, Medical Estheticians, Plastic Surgeons, Wellness Practitioners and Cosmetologists.
Is the public invited to participate in the conference?
No, this is a professional tradeshow only and is not beneficial to anyone not involved in the spa industry. However, anyone interested in this industry is more then welcome to call and get more information.
Can I bring a roller bag to the show?
No, there will be a bag check for all roller bags.
Do you have to bring your license to the show?
Not all states license their estheticians or salon/spa professionals, so we do not require any ID at the door. Some form of professional identification is suggested for networking and business transaction information. Questex, however only advertises to the professionals in the spa industry.
Can I bring my small child to the show?
No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the exhibit hall or the classrooms, including infants and strollers.
What type of Conference Program is offered?
IECSC Chicago offers a robust educational program. More than 30 classes are free with your paid daily exhibit hall admission. Plus, there are additional classes available for a separate fee.
Many classes are acceptable for CEU credit; however, due to the diversity in state accreditation programs, it is the attendee's responsibility to notify their state board of cosmetology to predetermine which classes are acceptable.
